The Sir David English Sports Centre is having a major revamp of its facilities

With many local sporting organisations now using Sir David English Sports Centre as their home venue including Dorset Badminton and Bournemouth Basketball & Netball, it is vital that the Sir David English Sports Centre continues to offer high quality facilities and services.

Improved Sports Hall Floor

Work to improve the sports hall floor has now been completed and the courts are open. See the new flooring below

Brand new Artificial Football Pitches

Great news for football players! A brand new rubber crumb pitch surface is going to replace the old pitches! This will transform the pitches creating a fantastic football facility with one of the highest grade surfaces within the area alongside the Littledown Centre and Pelhams Park Leisure Centre.

From the 26th July for 6 weeks, the old Football Pitches will be closed with alternative pitches available at the Littledown Centre (01202 417600) and Pelhams Park Leisure Centre (01202 437801) subject to availability. Please contact each Centre directly for availability and prices.

The brand new pitches will open on the 6th September and are sure to be booked up fast. To secure a time for your team to play on the great new pitches, download, complete a Booking & Hire Agreement form (Adobe pdf) and return to the Sir David English Sports Centre.

Funding for both of these projects comes from Bournemouth School Sports & Charitable Trust
